Trip to D.O.NAVARRA

WSET Trip Educators, October 2026

The Navarra Designation of Origin is pleased to announce the launch of the second edition of the Official Certified D.O. Navarra Educator Course, a high-level training initiative aimed at WSET-certified educators from around the world.

The Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra, in collaboration with WSET Global, thus reinforces its commitment to excellence in training within the wine sector. This program is a strategic step in our mission to consolidate Navarra as an international benchmark in the production of wines of the highest quality and distinctive identity, reaffirming its position as one of the most important, historic, and innovative Designations of Origin in Spain.

Why D.O. Navarra?

Welcome to Navarra, a historic region located in northern Spain, famous for its garnachas and rosés and the freshness and authenticity of its wines.

The vineyards of the D.O. Navarra are rooted in a privileged location in northern Spain. The richness and contrast of the landscapes and the convergence of climates make Navarra a unique and exceptional region. Its location, with some of the northernmost vineyards in the country, gives all its wines great freshness, distinctive in their nature and character.

Land of Garnachas

Garnacha is the most emblematic variety of Navarra. Its ability to transmit the landscape is unique and it manages to express, like no other variety, the great geographical richness and the typicality of the wines of each production area.

Garnacha Navarra is much fresher than that of other regions, less alcoholic and with a singular acidity. It is aromatic and tasty. An explosion of fresh fruit that responds perfectly to current trends.

Rosé Passion

Navarra is the region of rosé par excellence. Navarra rosés are fresh, light and very versatile. They are mostly made with Garnacha and with the bleeding method, a guarantee of maximum quality. Because of its tradition, Navarra is at the forefront in the elaboration of rosé wines, young or aged, which gives them the capacity for aging and makes them extraordinary gastronomic companions.

Navarra is a hidden gem

A treasure waiting to be discovered.  It is no surprise that it is currently on the radar of industry professionals and trend spotters. Gastronomes, sommeliers, critics, and wine lovers see in Navarra the potential of a wine region waiting to be rediscovered. Here, they find real gems: wines, wineries, and wine projects with great histories and an unbeatable quality-pleasure ratio.
